Play Central Terms & Conditions

By making a payment you are confirming you agree that you have read and understood our terms and conditions and your responsibility.

Booking and Payment:

  1. Booking Confirmation: All bookings are subject to availability and confirmed only upon receipt of full payment.

  2. Payment Method: We are a cashless venue. Please make sure you pre-book a session online.

  3. Deposit, Final Payments & Party Package Discount: To secure a party or private hire booking, a non-refundable deposit of at least 50% is required, with the remaining balance due before entering the session. Failure to complete payment will result in cancellation. We operate as a cashless venue, so please ensure you have a suitable payment method upon arrival. All bookings are dependent on availability and confirmed only once full payment is received. Additionally, if you have utilized a party package discount for booking 10 or more children, be aware that you will still be billed for a minimum of 10 children, even if fewer attend.

Refunds and Cancellations:

  1. No Refund Policy: No refunds will be provided for cancellations or no-shows.

  2. Rescheduling: If you need to cancel, you may reschedule your play session for another available time slot. Please do this at least 3 hours before the start time by adjusting your booking in the "My Account" section of our website. Group/ Party booking can only be modified at least 48 hours in advance. Private hire bookings require a bit more notice—please email us at Hello@crate17.co.uk at least 14 days ahead. Please note that rescheduling is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.

  3. Rights of access reserved: If an individual chooses not to participate, is not permitted to participate, or is requested to stop participating, no refunds will be provided.

Guests and Age Restrictions:

  1. Complimentary adults: You can add up to two adults at no cost to a play session booking. For group or party bookings, you can add up to one adult per paying child. Additional adults can be booked for £7.50 per adult. Please ensure that all adults, including those receiving complimentary entry, are added to your booking, as only the number reserved will be permitted entry to Play Central. Please note that you cannot add extra children or adults at the venue.

  2. Adding guests: Changes to play session bookings can be made until three hours before the play session and up to 48 hours prior to a group /party booking session. Changes can be made by adjusting the booking in the "My Account" section of the website and are subject to availability and capacity limitations.

  3. Age restrictions: Play Central is designed for children aged 0-7. Children outside this age range are not permitted to play. Adults/guardians accompanying children may be required to show proof of age (18+) upon entry. All age restriction imposed by the management must be adhered to. Please read House Rules and Safety Policies

Liability and Child Supervision:

  1. We are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage that occurs during the session, and it is the parent/guardian's responsibility to ensure rules of play are followed.

  2. Children are and remain the responsibility of the adults accompanying them, we therefore require visitors supervise their accompanying children at all times.

  3. If a parent or guardian needs to leave the premises, the child must remain under their supervision.

  4. Please adhere to the Adult-Child supervision ratio guidelines while booking and ensure a minimum of one adult (aged 18 or older) for every three children under 2 years old, one adult for every four children aged 2 to 3 years old, and one adult for every six children aged 4 to 7 years old. If the booking lacks the necessary adult-to-child ratio, only the number of children that adults can supervise will be allowed. Refunds will not be provided for children booked without the required adults.

  5. Personal belongings: We are not liable for lost or stolen items; please secure your belongings.

Safety and Hygiene:

  1. Socks Requirement: Everyone in the play area needs to wear socks. This is to maintain hygiene and safety within the play environment.

  2. Equipment usage and supervision: Accompanying adults must monitor their child to ensure that they can use the equipment. Accompanying adults must know where their child is and ensure that the child is able to locate them. Parents and guardians know their child’s capabilities and behaviour best and should ensure an appropriate level of supervision to reflect this. Please supervise and encourage children to observe the safety signs and guidelines while in the playframe and around the building.

  3. Playframe usage by Adults: Accompanying adults are requested not to use the upper levels of the playframe during busy periods but must supervise from the ground level.

  4. Clothing recommendation: Children are advised to wear long sleeved shirts and long trousers and must always wear socks . Tops should be tucked into bottom garments when using the slides on the play equipment. Children must remove shoes, spectacles, jewellery and badges before entering the playframe.

  5. Hand Sanitizers: Hand sanitiser is available at Play Central Reception desk. Hands must be sanitised on entry and exit, and before and after entering the playframes and play areas. Please help children to do so.

  6. Health: Parents and guardians must ensure that children do not become overheated. Children who are unwell, or who have been unwell, should not visit the play area for at least 48 hours. Children who become unwell whilst in Play Central, must leave the space immediately and must not use the play equipment.

  7. Photography: We ask that customers are sensitive when taking photographs and restrict their photos to their own children.

Behavior and Health:

  1. Aggressive or disruptive behaviour: Aggressive or disruptive behaviour is unacceptable and may result in removal from the premises without refund.

  2. Health: We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone showing signs of illness. Children who are unwell should not visit for at least 48 hours.

Arrival and Playtime:

  1. Late arrivals: Sessions start promptly. Late arrivals will lose playtime, and no refund will be provided.

  2. End of Play: We ask that customers vacate the play area promptly at the end of their party/play session to allow incoming customers to start their session promptly

Food and Venue Use:

  1. Food & Drinks: Feel free to bring food and drinks from CRATE Walthamstow vendors, but please keep them out of the play structure. Additionally, glass mugs and pint glasses are not allowed in Play Central. We kindly ask that you use a paper/plastic cup for your drink before entering. No food, drink or chewing gum may be consumed in the play areas.

  2. Pre-order for Parties: Don't forget to check out our special-pre-order catering menu on our website for parties and group bookings!

  3. Space restriction: Buggies, scooters, and bikes are not allowed in Play Central due to capacity limits. Please use the designated 'Buggy Park' instead.

  4. Cakes, Candles, and Decorations: For fire safety reasons, candles cannot be lit inside Play Central unless you have booked a private room or reserved a table at CRATE, where cakes and candles can be used outside Play Central. Please give the cake and candles to our host upon arrival, and they will handle lighting and supervision to ensure safety. Decorations are not allowed inside Play Central unless the space is exclusively hired. Only free-standing decorations like balloons with weights can be used inside Play Central. Pre-discussed decorations on the wall are allowed inside the Party Rooms only. Confetti, party poppers, piñatas, streamers and indoor fireworks are strictly prohibited in Play Central and all CRATE/17 & Central spaces.

Should you encounter any difficulties during your party, please ask for the manager or shift runner immediately, who will endeavour to resolve any issues on the spot. Any matter that they are unable to resolve should be addressed through the enquiries form accessed via crate17.co.uk/play-central within 14 days.

Prohibited Items and Activities:

  1. Smoking & Vaping: Strictly no smoking or vaping on the premises.

  2. Restricted items: Confetti, party poppers, piñatas, streamers, and indoor fireworks are strictly prohibited in all Play Central and CRATE/17 & Central spaces. Thank you for your understanding.

Emergency and Safety:

  1. Coloured wristbands are required to be worn by adult/supervisor attending. Every session will have a different colour wristband.

  2. Emergency evacuation: In the event of emergency evacuation of the building, immediately guide your children down from the playframe and follow the instructions of staff who will direct everyone to the fire exit so you can evacuate the building safely.

Changes to Terms: We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting on our website.

By making a payment for a session at Play Central, you agree to our terms and conditions and house rules and safety policies.
