Play Central Terms & Conditions
By making a payment you are confirming you agree that you have read and understood our terms and conditions and your responsibility.
General Admission:
Booking Confirmation: All bookings are subject to availability and confirmed only upon receipt of full payment.
Payment Method: We are a cashless venue. Please make sure you pre-book a session online.
Refunds and Cancellations: No refunds will be issued for cancellations or no-shows. If you must cancel, you can reschedule your session for a different available time slot, as long as you inform us at least 48 hours in advance by emailing play.central@crate17.co.uk. Please note that rescheduling within 48 hours of the session is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. If an individual chooses not to participate, is not permitted to participate, or is requested to stop participating, no refunds will be provided.
Complimentary adults: Only two adults can be reserved for free with each booking. If you wish to include more adults, there will be an additional fee of £7.50 per person. Please ensure that you add all adults, including those receiving complimentary entry, to your booking, as only the number reserved will be permitted entry to Play Central. Please note that you cannot add extra children or adults at the venue.
Adding guests: Any changes to a booking need to be requested at least 48 hours before the booking time by emailing play.central@crate17.co.uk and is subject to availability and capacity restrictions.
Child Supervision Policy: Children are and remain the responsibility of the adults accompanying them, we therefore require visitors supervise their accompanying children at all times.
Please adhere to the Adult-Child supervision ratio guidelines while booking and Ensure a minimum of one adult (aged 18 or older) for every three children under 2 years old, one adult for every four children aged 2 to 3 years old, and one adult for every six children aged 4 to 7 years old.
If a parent or guardian needs to leave the premises, the child must remain under their supervision
Late arrivals: Sessions start promptly. Late arrivals will lose playtime, and no refund will be provided. Age restrictions: Play Central is designed for children aged 0-7. Children outside this age range are not permitted to play. Adults/guardians accompanying children may be required to show proof of age (18+) upon entry.
By making a payment for a session at Play Central, you agree to our terms and conditions and house rules and safety policies.
Party/group terms and conditions:
Party Package requirement: To make a party reservation, a minimum of 10 children is required, and for each child, one complimentary adult is permitted. Any extra adults will incur a fee of £7.50 each. Please remember to include all adults in your count, including the complimentary ones, as only the reserved number of adults will be allowed entry to Play Central. Additional children or adults cannot be added to a booking at the venue.
Deposit & Final Payments: To secure your booking, a non-refundable deposit of at least 50% is required for each party group. The remaining balance must be settled before entering the session. Failure to make the payment will lead to cancellation. Please note that we operate as a cashless venue, so ensure you have a suitable payment method upon arrival. All bookings depend on availability and are only confirmed once full payment is received.
Refunds and Cancellations: Please be advised that cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable.
Rescheduling: If you cancel the booking the deposit is non-refundable although a date change may be possible subject to availability 14 days before the booked date and at an available date at our discretion.
Editing number of guests: Any changed to the number must be informed 48 hours prior to the booked session. While we shall endeavour to cater for unexpected guests, please be aware that this may not always be possible as the venue is subject to capacity limitation. If you need to add additional guests within 48 hours of the party booking time, we advise you to make a separate booking through our website's booking system. Please note that this separate booking must include a child. Additional guests will be accommodated subject to availability and will be charged at standard prices. To avail the party package, you will be charged for a minimum of 10 children, even if fewer than 10 children attend.

Cakes and candles: Due to Fire safety restriction we don't allow guests to light candles inside Play Central however if you have booked one of our private rooms or a reserved a table at CRATE, you are welcome to bring your own cake and candles to be used outside Play Central. Please hand over the birthday cake and candles to our host on arrival, and they will bring it to you when you are ready. For fire safety, we request that you allow our host to light the candle and supervise to ensure it is extinguished safely. Thank you for your understanding.
Decoration: Unfortunately, we do not allow decorations inside Play Central unless the space is hired exclusively, and the decorations are removed during the booked session so that the next session can commence right after. Only free-standing decorations link balloons with weights, subject to space availability, are allowed in the soft play area. We do not allow any decorations on the walls inside Play Central. Pre-discussed decorations on the wall are allowed inside the Party Rooms only. Confetti, party poppers, piñatas, streamers and indoor fireworks are strictly prohibited in Play Central and all CRATE/17 & Central spaces.
End of Play: Parents should note that Play central and party rooms is in constant use on busy days, hence the use of the room must be vacated promptly.
Any changes to the standard party package must be authorised by the management and confirmed in writing.
Should you encounter any difficulties during your party, please ask for the duty manager immediately, who will endeavour to resolve any issues on the spot. Any matter that they are unable to resolve should be addressed through the enquiries form accessed via crate17.co.uk/play-central within 14 days.
Safety:
Play Central staff and management endeavour to ensure the safety of all visitors, it remains the responsibility of accompanying adults (person aged 18 or over) to supervise the children in their care while visiting the facility. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult and remain the responsibility of said adult at all times.
Age restrictions: Play Central is designed for children aged 0-7. Children outside this age range are not permitted to play. Adults/guardians accompanying children may be required to show proof of age (18+) upon entry. All age restriction imposed by the management must be adhered to. Please read House Rules and Safety Policies
Wristbands: Coloured wristbands are required to be worn by adult/supervisor attending. Every session will have a different colour wristband.
Supervising Children in Play Clay Central:
Accompanying adults must always remain on the premises. Monitor their child to ensure that they can use the equipment. Accompanying adults must know where their child is and ensure that the child is able to locate them.
Parents and guardians know their child’s capabilities and behaviour best and should ensure an appropriate level of supervision to reflect this.
Please supervise and encourage children to observe the safety signs and guidelines while in the playframe and around the building.
Accompanying adults are requested not to use the upper levels of the playframe during busy periods but must supervise from the ground level.
We are not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage that occurs during the session, and it is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to ensure rules of play are followed.
Child Safety and Health
Children are advised to wear long sleeved shirts and long trousers and must always wear socks to minimise the risk of personal injury. Tops should be tucked into bottom garments when using the slides on the play equipment. Children must remove shoes, spectacles, jewellery and badges before entering the playframe.
Parents and guardians must ensure that children do not become overheated. Children who are unwell, or who have been unwell, should not visit the centre for at least 48 hours. Children who become unwell whilst in the centre, must leave the centre immediately and must not use the play equipment. Although the government has relaxed the covid rules, we still ask for everyone’s protection that if you or any of your group are showing covid symptoms that you do not attend the centre.
Hand sanitiser is available at Play Central Reception desk. Hands must be sanitised on entry and exit, and before and after entering the playframes and play areas. Please help children to do so.
Food & Drinks: Feel free to bring food and drinks from CRATE Walthamstow vendors, but please keep them out of the play structure. Additionally, glass mugs and pint glasses are not allowed in Play Central. We kindly ask that you use a paper/plastic cup for your drink before entering. No food, drink or chewing gum may be consumed in the play areas.
Abusive or aggressive behaviour: Our Staff are here to help adults and children to make sure that everyone has a good time. Please be aware, however, that it is company policy not to tolerate any abusive or aggressive behaviour towards our Team or other customers. Any such behaviour may result in customers being asked to leave the premises.
Photography: We ask that customers are sensitive when taking photographs and restrict their photos to their own children.
Personal belongings: We are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please keep your belongings secure.
Space restriction: Push chairs/buggies/scooters/bikes are not permitted within Play Central due to capacity space. There is a dedicated buggy park outside. We advise you to carry all your valuables with you at all times.
Smoking & Vaping: Strictly no smoking or vaping on the premises.
Emergency evacuation: In the event of emergency evacuation of the building, immediately guide your children down from the playframe and follow the instructions of staff who will direct everyone to the fire exit so you can evacuate the building safely.
End of Play: We ask that customers vacate the building promptly at the end of their party to allow incoming customers to start their session promptly
